THE Gloucestershire MG Owners Club has raised £3,904 for Alabaré following their yearly Cotswold Caper.
A procession of classic MGs from across the country took part in the annual charity event in July, which saw 146 vehicles starting their journey in Cirencester.
The drivers taking part in the event were flagged off by Lord Lieutenant Dame Janet Trotter ahead of their 90 mile run around the South Gloucestershire countryside.
Alabaré is a charity which cares for homeless veterans and which now has two homes in Gloucester.
The charity were delighted to receive a cheque from the organisers of the event and said that the money would help enormously with the funding and running of their homes.
The Gloucestershire MG Owners Club has now organised nine of its Cotswold capers and in that time has raise over £29,000 for Gloucestershire based charities.
