THIEVES broke into the home of a disabled couple and stole expensive items, including a wheelchair.
Police are appealing for information to help find the thieves who broke into the bungalow on Bowen Close while the husband and wife slept.
The burglary happened on the night of Thursday, September 11 after the couple had gone to bed.
Waking up on Friday morning the husband found several items missing including an Apple Macbook Pro laptop, an iPad Air tablet computer, a red rucksack and keys.
Outside, he saw that their car, which had contained his wife's wheelchair, was missing from the front drive.
The vehicle, a blue 08-registered Vauxhall Agila was found a few hours later, abandoned and badly damaged in Malvern Road.
The wheelchair and 'blue badges' were returned to the victims before the car was taken away for forensic examination.
The husband also found that his Garmin 620 running watch had been taken.
The thieves are believed to have entered the bungalow through a kitchen window. Officers carried out house-to-house enquiries, but were unable to locate any witnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident number 46 of 12/9/14.
