POLICE are appealing for information after two power boat engines were taken from boats on a South Cerney lake.
The thefts occurred from an island in the centre of Lake 12 on Spine Road, South Cerney between 8.30 pm on Sunday, April 13 and 8.20 am on Monday, April 14.
The thieves crossed the lake in a Katan canoe having entered the locked compound area of the outdoor park.
When they reached the central island they removed the engines and travelled back across the lake, before leaving the compound.
The engines are a Mariner 15 HP Serial No O8D4348 and a Mariner 9.9 HP Serial No OR368992.
Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 70 of April 14.
