Stub it out for Stoptober

RESIDENTS across the Cotswolds are being urged to stub it out as part of this month's Stoptober anti-smoking campaign.
Last year across the UK an estimated 160,000 people gave up smoking as part of the campaign month.
Health champions are hoping this year many more will also try to kick the habit.
Someone who quits smoking for Stoptober, and never smokes again could gain an extra seven days of life, every 28 days, for the rest of their life.
Nationally, smoking remains the biggest killer with half of long-term smokers dying prematurely from a smoking disease.
Events are being run around the county by the NHS stop smoking service which runs throughout October. To sign up, call 0300 4210040
