ALTHOUGH temperatures remain high, it is hard to contemplate that winter is just around the corner. Soon we will all be looking at how we can best save money on household heating bills and how to make our homes work more efficiently.
Whether it is looking to save money or save the planet, considering alternative, renewable energy sources or even embarking upon a sustainable self-build or renovation project, The Big Green Home Show in Swindon next month could help.
The show takes place on October 25-27 at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre, close to Junction 16 of the M4.
The show will aim to demystify all the jargon and help you decide what’s best for you and your home.
The Big Green Home Show returns for its fifth year with a packed programme of expert speakers, live demonstrations, guided tours, real-life experiences and individual, impartial consultations. In addition, specialist panel sessions will discuss the latest products and issues such as grants and funding, and how it could have an impact on your plans.
If you’re looking for a specialist product, such as solar panels, insulation or rainwater harvesting, there will also be hundreds of specialist ‘eco’ exhibitors, many of whom will give hands-on demonstrations and essential advice across the three-day show.
For free tickets to the show go to www.nsbrc.co.uk and quote voucher code BGHSPRE13. Admission on the day is £5.00 per person, Under 16’s go free.
