GLOUCESTERSHIRE Police is appealing for the passengers of a red Mini who witnessed a collision near Berkeley to come forward after the motorbike involved was stolen in a burglary.
The collision happened just off Alkington Lane in Alkington at around 9pm on Monday, August 26.
Passers-by came across a badly damaged motorbike in a hedge.
Officers believe that the bike - an orange and blue Honda CBR 900 RR Fireblade with a distinctive 'Repsol' logo was taken in a burglary at a house on High Street in Cam at some point between 8am Saturday August 24 and the time of the collision.
Police would like to speak to the occupants of a red Mini, believed to be a man and a woman who spent around 45 minutes with the rider and urge them to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 486 of August 26.
