FIRE crews from Gloucestershire were called to road traffic collision on the M5 in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
One fire engine from Stroud Fire Station and another from Wotton Under Edge were sent to the incident between junctions 13 and 14 on the M5 southbound at around 1am.
It is believed that one person was trapped inside a car but was released before the fire crews had arrived.
Firefighters assisted in making the vehicles safe by disconnecting the car batteries.
The crews were on the scene for approximately one hour.
