Lechlade craft fair to support local charities

A CRAFT and gift fair that also raises money for charity is proving a hit. Lechlade Craft Fair has gone from strength-to-strength with events already planned right up until September. Stallholders come from the area and offer handmade cards, soaps and sweets.

Each event also has a dedicated charity that receives proceeds from a raffle.

Organiser Hayley Schofeldt said: “It has been going really well, much better than I first thought and we are able to support some great local causes.”

The next event on March 16 will be supporting Epilepsy Purple Day.

Friends of Fairford Hospital will be the featured cause on April 27 where the charity will also run a bric-a-brac stand.

Donations at the May 18 event will go to the Swindon-based charity Bella’s Wishes.

The fairs take place at Lechlade Memorial Hall between 2-5pm.
