Burial space running out in Tetbury

BURIAL space is rapidly running out in Tetbury.

At last week’s town council meeting mayor Rob McCorkell said a survey had shown burial space in St Saviour’s churchyard was likely to run out within the next three years.

“We are looking for land and we have been for some time,” he said.

“The most obvious thing to do is to use the recreation ground but this would be complicated to sort out.

“Until we find a plot of land there isn’t really anything we can do.”

He added the council would be engaging with residents and organisations in the town to try and solve the problem.

If you plan on building or creating anything in this wonderful country there will be legions of people ready to complain that it's in the wrong place or it isn't needed, a bit like the HS2 I suppose.
Not needed that is until you need to use the facility for yourself or your loved ones and then it's everybody else's fault.
