Bookstart Bear Clubs to start in Gloucestershire
8:00am Tuesday 29th January 2013 in Cotswolds news By Ian Craig
BUDDING bookworms keen to get stuck in to reading are invited to come along to their local libraries to discover the fun of books.
Gloucestershire County Council’s Bookstart Bear Clubs are seeing babies, toddlers and pre-school children – and their parents – across the county discover the joy of reading together.
Children receive a stamp for every visit to the library and are awarded a Bookstart Bear Club certificate for every six stamps.
Clubs have already started at a number of libraries across Gloucestershire and are due to start in Cirencester, Tetbury, Fairford, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh in March.
Clubs can also be joined online at bookstart.org.uk/bookstart-bear-club
