APPLICATIONS are still open for a scheme at Cotswold Airport helping young people from Gloucestershire and Wiltshire take to the skies.
The Cotswold Airport 2013 Aviation Scholarship will allow teenagers between 14 and 18 the chance to learn flight, engineering and air traffic control skills.
Ten places are available on the programme, which is funded by airport owner Ronan Harvey and is run in conjunction with charity fly2help.
Airport chief executive Suzannah Harvey said any young person with an interest in aviation was welcome to apply.
“Not only is it a fantastic experience but it really helps the students take their first footsteps towards what can be a very rewarding career in aviation, while allowing them to build contacts and make new friends at the same time,” she said.
The eight-day programme will run from March 25 until April 5 and applications are open until January 31 at fly2help.org
