AN APPEAL has been made for witnesses to an incident in Cheltenham yesterday in which a woman threatened a man with a knife.

The woman was reported to have left The Brewery restaurant without paying at around 10.40pm last night after consuming a number of alcoholic drinks.

She was followed to Henrietta Street by an 18-year-old male member of staff.

When he tried to talk to her she pulled a knife from her handbag and pointed at him before running away.

The man was not hurt in the incident.

The woman is described as white, around 35 years old and was wearing a black dress with a white throw over her shoulders and black tights. She had a piercing below her bottom lip.
