2:16pm Monday 31st December 2012 in Cotswolds news By Laura Shack
A CIRENCESTER woman was hospitalised after she was allegedly stabbed several times during a domestic argument on Christmas Eve.
The woman in her 20s was reportedly stabbed in her abdomen, thigh and arm by 29-year-old Lee Farrell at a house on Apsley Road.
Emergency services and police officers rushed to the scene after a 999 call was made just before 11pm on Monday, December 24.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Swindon’s Great Western Hospital and was admitted in the early hours of Christmas Day with multiple trauma injuries, not believed to be life threatening.
Mr Farrell, of Apsley Road, was arrested by police and appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on December 26, charged with grievous bodily harm and wounding with intent. He has been remanded in custody until January 4.
