CHRISTMAS presents have been stolen in a spate of burglaries across the Cotswolds.

Four burglaries were reported in Northleach, three in Nostle Road and one in Fortey Road, and a further three burglaries were reported in Tewkesbury.

The crimes in Northleach all happened overnight between Friday December 14 and Saturday December 15.

Entry was forced to each of the homes and at three of the addresses items were stolen, including wrapped Christmas presents and jewellery.

Gloucestershire Police are investigating whether these four burglaries are linked to three incidents at addresses in Tewkesbury.

Between 6.30pm and 10.40pm on Saturday December 15 two homes in Fitzhamon Park in Ashchurch were broken into and an attempt was made to force entry to another.

Nothing has been reported as stolen from the properties in Tewkesbury.

Investigating officers are appealing to both communities to call them on 101, quoting incident number 395 of December 14, if they saw or heard any suspicious activity in the neighbourhoods.
