CRIME in Tetbury fell by more than half in October. There were 10 crimes reported in the town during the month, compared with 22 in October 2011.
The biggest falls were seen in incidents of violence, which dropped from eight in October 2011 to two in the last month, and in criminal damage, which fell from six to two.
Incidents of thefts also fell from seven to four, while drug-related offences remained constant at one each on October 2011 and 2012.
The only rise was seen in burglary, with two incidents recorded last month compared to none in 2011.
There were also no incidents of fraud and no crimes falling into the ‘other’ category in either October 2011 or 2012.
Overall, there have been 90 crimes recorded in the town from the start of April, compared with 101 in the same period 12 months previously.
