Teenage girl touched inappropriately by man at bus stop

A TEENAGER has been touched inappropriately while waiting at a bus stop this morning.

Police in Thrupp, near Stroud, are appealing to the community for help after the 13-year-old girl was touched under her skirt by a man at around 8.25am today.

The teenager was at a bus stop on Spring Lane when the man approached her and lifted her skirt, putting his hand on her thigh. The girl then ran away.

He was described as being around 6ft tall, in his 20s with dark coloured spiky hair. He was wearing glasses, black trousers and a black sweatshirt with a green polo shirt underneath. He was wearing white Nike trainers.

Police are investigating the incident and PC Rebecca King has urged any witnesses to come forward. She said: “We understand that parents will be concerned by this incident and we would reassure them that it is being thoroughly investigated.

“We’d ask anyone that witnessed the incident or saw someone acting suspiciously in the area this morning to contact us on 101, quoting incident number 62 of October 18.”
