Tetbury runners invited to get involved in marathon challenge with new business 100 Mile Run
8:00am Sunday 21st October 2012 in News By Ian Craig
RUNNERS keen to reach the next level are invited to get involved with a new Tetbury business organising challenges for people who think marathons just aren’t hard enough.
100 Mile Run will be organising ultra marathon running events – running 50 or 100 miles non-stop – with the first event in August next year where participants will be challenged to run 100 miles from Chipping Campden to Bath along the Cotswold Way national trail over the space of four days.
100 Mile Run director Rick Morgan said an ultra marathon was often too much for many runners.
“We are trying to provide a level in between the marathon and ultra marathon events, which is really difficult and challenging, but is achievable to people who are not super fit or super human,” he said.
“We will be organising really friendly, relaxed, social events which we hope will appeal to a wide range of fun runners and club runners.”
