Flooding on the A429 at Corston Flooding on the A429 at Corston

OVERNIGHT flooding is causing disruption this morning on the A429 at Corston.

Traffic is reduced to a crawl by the flood water which has been caused by blocked drains.

Large amounts of vegetation, believed to have been left from hedge cutting, has caused overnight rain to burst the banks of a stream running alongside the road, leaving several inches of water on the road.

No properties are believed to have been flooded.

Wiltshire Council officers visited the scene this morning at 7.15am.

The situation is currently causing large tailbacks in both directions.
