The Met Office have issued a severe weather warning for South West and South East England

A SEVERE weather warning has been issued for South West and South East England.

The Met Office have warned some areas may experience up to 40mm of rain in an hour this afternoon and that there is a risk of localised flooding in some areas due to ground already being saturated by water due to recent rain.

However, the Environment Agency has issued no flood warnings for Gloucestershire or Wiltshire.

The rain is expected to gradually ease from the South West by around 8pm.
