Hapless thieves steal empty cardboard box - twice

A HAPLESS pair of thieves are believed to have repeatedly stolen empty cardboard boxes from a Cirencester store, believing they contained expensive goods.

The thieves were spotted by staff and caught on CCTV stealing two cardboard packages for electronic razors from Boots in Cirencester - once on Thursday, September 20 and again on Friday, September 21.

It is thought the men stole the empty packaging, mistakenly believing twice over it contained the electronic device.

A police spokesman said: “While the razors are worth £300 each, the cardboard boxes are worth considerably less.”

A 30 year-old-man from Swindon was arrested and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on October 26.

£300 for a razor?

Perhaps that might explain why every single male in every advertisement is be-stubbled.

Or is it that using a disposable razor costing pennies is beyond the nous of the modern gentleman?
