A CIRENCESTER road was closed during rush hour after a head-on crash this morning.
The Burford Road was closed after three vehicles were involved in a crash near to the junction of the A417 and A429 near Cirencester, at 6.40am.
A driver of a Peugeot van had to be cut free from his vehicle by firefighters and was taken by ambulance to Swindon Hospital, suffering from a suspected broken arm, after he crashed head-on with a silver Mercedes car.
No one else is believed to have been injured in the collision, which also involved a Ford Transit van.
The Burford Road was closed off while emergency services cleared an oil spillage from the crash and made the area safe.
The road is due to reopen shortly.
