Flood warning issued for the Cotswolds

COMMUNITIES across the Cotswolds have been urged to prepare for flooding due to heavy rainfall today.

The South West is expected to be hit hardest with rainfall over the next 24 hours, with three inches of rain expected.

The Environment Agency has issued a warning for river and surface water flooding and significant disruption to travel is expected.

Strong winds will increase the risk of flooding as wind-blown debris has the potential to block watercourses and drains.
