Plastic roadside recycling ready to start in the Cotswolds
5:00pm Sunday 23rd September 2012 in News
SACKS for kerbside plastic recycling have been delivered across the Cotswolds.
The special white sacks are for the rigid plastic collections whicih start next month.
While most houses throughout the Cotswolds district should have received a delivery of the sacks, the authority wants to hear from any households that have not.
Cotswold District Council ’s spokesman for the environment Cllr David Fowles said while the operation had gone to plan so far he said it was realistic there would be some isolated problems.
Anyone who has not received a delivery, or who has questions on the new service, should contact CDC on 01285 623123.
The new kerbside plastic recycling service starts in the northern waste collection area on the week beginning Monday, October 8. Collections do not start in the south sector until the week of Monday, October 29, to enable any early teething problems to be smoothed out.
The northern sector roughly covers the district north of Cirencester and the A417 to Cheltenham to the west, and north of the Ampneys, Quenington and Southrop to the east.
