AB/CD School of Rock gives kids chance to jam
11:20am Wednesday 19th September 2012 in News By Laura Shack
Music teachers John Parker and Tim Downes-Hall were joined by Cllr John Hughes and young musicians in Cirencester to plug the new AB/CD School of Rock
A PAIR of music teachers took to the streets of Cirencester to plug their new jamming workshops for wannabe rockstars.
Guitar teacher John Parker and drums and vocal teacher Tim Downes-Hall have teamed up to create the AB/CD School of Rock.
John said their first summer workshop at Cirencester Primary School was a huge success and they were now taking bookings for October half term and planning monthly term time sessions.
"It hopefully gives people the opportunity they wouldn’t normally get to jam together and learn how to be in a band,” he said.
The fun rock and pop-based workshops are aimed at 10 to 16-year-olds of all abilities who play guitar, bass, drums or sing.
To book a place on Wednesday, October 24, contact John on 01285 640746 or Tim on 0788 6037014. Cost £30 per day.
