Community warned to be vigilant after burglary
2:42pm Friday 14th September 2012 in News
LECHLADE residents have been warned to be vigilant after a home was burgled this week.
Thieves broke into a home at Hambridge Lane through an insecure rear door and stole a Sony Playstation 3.
The burglary happened between 8pm on Wednesday, September 12 and 2am yesterday.
Police have urged the community to follow crime prevention measures to help reduce the opportunities for thieves to strike.
* Keep all windows and doors locked and shut when a room is unoccupied
* Make your house look occupied using lights and radios on a timer and outside lighting
* Don’t leave valuables on display
Anyone with any information about the burglary is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 30 of September 13.
You can also give information anonymously by contacting the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org and you may receive a reward if someone is arrested and charged.
