Drivers warned of road closure following serious collision

A MAN has been taken by air ambulance to hospital with life threatening injuries after a crash on the A48 near Gloucester.

Diversions are now in place following the serious collision on the A48 near Minsterworth at around 6.10am today.

Police were called after a black Vauxhall Vectra and blue Vauxhall Astra collided.

A man was cut from one of the cars by the fire service and has been taken by air ambulance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Road closures will remain in place while a collision investigation takes place.

Anyone who witnessed the crash but has not spoken to police should call 101, quoting incident 46 of September 13.
