Fertiliser spilled on Down Ampney road

FERTILISER was spilled on a road in Down Ampney yesterday evening.
A trailer full of liquid fertiliser became detached from a tractor and its contents spilled onto the road and into a nearby ditch just after 8pm.
Firefighters from Fairford fire station were sent to the scene and contained the spillage.
Following consultation with the Environment Agency, soil was spread to absorb some of the liquid.
