Woman dies in tractor tragedy near Cirencester

A WOMAN has died after a vintage tractor she was driving overturned near Cirencester.

The 75-year-old woman died from multiple injuries after the tractor turned on its side on Daneway Hill, Sapperton, at around 3.10pm yesterday.

A number of onlookers called emergency services and are believed to have attempted to resuscitate the woman, who was unconscious and was not breathing.

A Great Western Air Ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, paramedic and an ambulance were scrambled to the scene, but the woman had already died from the traumatic injuries sustained.

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident.
