11:00am Saturday 8th September 2012 in News By Laura Shack
A BOLD family who took part in a charity head shave in tribute to Cirencester bridge crash victim Robert Massey look set to hit their £2,000 target.
So far around £1,400 has been raised for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Shine Together, a charity that supports Bristol’s Frenchay Hospital, by the family of Robert’s fiancee Hayley McGrath.
Robert, 26, died in July when the car he was driving crashed off the Beeches Road bridge and landed on the A417 below. Hayley, 26, who was in the car at the time, survived the crash but had to undergo spinal surgery.
On August 28, Hayley's mum Doris, sisters Sabrina and Erika and niece Chloe shaved their heads to fundraise for the medical teams. They will collecting at Cirencester’s Tesco Extra on Saturday, September 8 from 2pm to 4.30pm.
