CUSTOMERS at a Cirencester petrol station showed some dogged determination to raise money for charity.

Staff at the Burford Road Co-op shop and filling station teamed up for a charity car wash on Saturday in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Along with real guide dogs at the event, store manager Rob Parnell helped to draw attention to the cause by jetting cars down in a man-sized dog suit.

The team raised just under £400 from the car wash, bringing their running total to around £1,000.

Team manager Allison Blow said: "We’re hoping to raise £5,000 for the charity in total. If we hit that target we get to name a puppy, which is exciting."

Donations can be made in store.
