A CIRENCESTER woman has admitted stealing £9,000 from a playgroup.
Claire Thompson, 36, of Queen Elizabeth Road, pleased guilty to stealing money from the Lewis Lane Playgroup, where she was the treasurer.
She appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates Court today and was sentenced to a 26-week custodial sentence, suspended for two years, and ordered to pay back the £9,000 she stole from the playgroup.
She has also been ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service.
