Try your hand at angling in the Cotswold Water Park at South Cerney this weekend
10:10am Saturday 4th August 2012 in News
A FREE fishing taster day is being held at South Cerney this weekend for anyone who would like to try their hand at Britain's most popular participation sport.
South Cerney Angling Club in partnership with the Cotswold Waterpark Trust, will be holding the last of its free angling taster days for 2012 this Sunday, August 2.
The idea is to encourage every family member to have a go at fishing whatever the age, gender, or disability, or whichever cultural or social background they may be from.
The taster sessions are free and there is one-to-one guidance from a licensed angling coach.
After the fishing session there will be some pond dipping, an opportunity to learn about the bugs and the fish that live in our waters The day takes place at South Cerney AC's Gillman's Lake, on their Wickwater complex, Wickwater Lane, South Cerney from 10am to 4pm. The sessions last for approximately 30 minutes, with all fishing tackle, bait, and licences provided.
Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited. To book a place contact Craig Hunt on 07989 973217.
