Woman airlifted to hospital after crash with lorry on M5

A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital after she crashed with a lorry on the M5.

The incident happened at around 11.15am this morning (July 26) between junctions 11a and 11 northbound.

A woman aged in her sixties, was airlifted to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol suffering from serious injuries which are now not thought to be life-threatening.

The motorway was closed both ways in order for the air ambulance to land. All lanes are now open.

Anyone who witnessed this collision who hasn’t already spoken to police should call 101 quoting incident 150 of July 26.
