UPDATE: Local man dies in Malmesbury crash on A429

The A429 will be closed for several hours between north and south roundabout following a crash near Malmesbury
A PEDESTRIAN has died following a crash with a motorbike on the Malmesbury bypass this morning.
The local man died at the scene of the crash, which took place on the A429 near to Abbey View Alpacas farm at 8.25am.
His wife has now been informed by police.
The male motorcyclist has been taken by air ambulance to Frenchay Hospital with serious head injuries. His condition is believed to be stable.
Several people witnessed the crash and police investigations are ongoing.
The road will be closed off between north and south roundabout for at least another two hours.
Drivers taking that route should expect delays.
