Flood alert issued for Moreton-in-Marsh

A FLOOD alert has been issued for the river Evenlode from Moreton-in-Marsh to Cassington in Oxfordshire.
The Environment Agency placed the flood alert at 8.01am this morning, warning that heavy rain overnight had caused the river to rise and, in some places, spill onto the floodplain.
No properties are expected to be affected.
