Kemble firm offers homeowners reduced energy bills
5:10pm Saturday 14th July 2012 in News By Andrea Glennon
HOMEOWNERS can benefit from reduced energy bills this year after a Kemble-based supplier announced price cuts.
Award-winning energy provider Ovo Energy this week cut its dual fuel fixed tariff prices by 4.5 per cent for new customers and existing customers who are due to renew with their supplier.
The announcement by the firm, based at the Kemble Enterprise Park, means an average UK household will now pay £1,088.09 annually with Ovo’s new energy dual fuel tariff.
This compares to an average £1,162 a year being offered by the six leading energy providers.
Managing director Stephen Fitzpatrick said the firm had become well-known for passing on savings from buying energy on the wholesale market to customers as quickly as possible.
"We only offer two, simple fixed tariffs, which provide peace of mind – the price consumers see today will be the price they pay for the next 12 months,” he added.
Customers already on a variable rate will be able to fix immediately at the lower price.
