TASTY treats and entertaining cookery displays helped pull in the crowds during Cirencester Farmer's Market on Saturday.
The Love Your Local Market campaign launched by the town council saw shoppers flock to Market Place to enjoy a mini festival of food and fun.
The successful event generated a number of regular traders for the Farmer's Market ensuring it is still on course to go weekly by autumn.
Cotswold Chef Rob Rees held the first of his cookery demonstrations using produce bought from the market and Cotswold MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown stopped by to sample the goods.
Market organiser Oliver Cooper said people in Cirencester certainly showed their support for the market. "The market was fantastic, it had a great atmosphere and it was incredible to see so many people coming out to support their local market," he said.
"There were some signs that people were being cautious with their money, so we are going to be conducting some price comparison checks to help people see that the Farmers' Market offers competitively priced produce."
