Witnesses sought after teenager dies in crash

A TEENAGE passenger died after a car crash in the early hours of this morning.

The 19-year-old died after the driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa lost control of the car for unknown reasons and swerved into a tree at around 1.10am today on the B4006 Marlborough Road, Swindon.

The unidentified teenager suffered multiple injuries and died at the scene.

Emergency services attended and the road was closed for 6 hours while crews worked to make the area safe.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the car around the time of the accident, which took place on the eastbound carriageway of Marlborough Road in the direction of Coate Water.

Anyone who has not yet come forward can contact PC Scott Hill of the serious collision investigation team on 101, quoting incident 22 of June 14.
