Horse and carriage urgently needed for Cirencester jubilee parade

CIRENCESTER’S Diamond Queen and family desperately need a horse drawn carriage to enable them to lead the town's Jubilee procession on 4th June.

Ideally it should carry five and meet all necessary health and safety and insurance regulations.

One offered for the procession had a fault develop this week, making it inoperable for the Cirencester celebrations.

"Obviously this very disappointing for everyone, both the owners and our Jubilee family. So, if anyone has a carriage and horses, or perhaps two smaller traps, they would contact me urgently ", said jubilee committee spokesman, Robin Thompson.

"We have been offered stabling and food for the horses and a parking spot for vehicles. It will be such a shame if we cannot acquire a royal carriage. Offers also of open top cars would also be welcome in case nothing comes to fruition", added Robin.
