THE magic of Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace's Midnight Tango appears on canvas this month in a stunning new exhibition at The Art Gallery in Tetbury. Renowned figurative painter Charles Willmott was granted special access to the two stars of Strictly Come Dancing in order to paint dance sequences from their sell-out Midnight Tango show, which is currently at the Aldwych Theatre in London's West End.

Charles, a largely self-taught painter whose portraits of dancers have been keenly collected for decades, was delighted with the opportunity and Flavia and Vincent are equally pleased.

"We agreed to be painted by Charles because we had seen some of his other work and were very impressed by it," says Flavia. "The work we had seen was exceptionally beautiful, especially his paintings of Darcy Bussell. We are both thrilled with the final results. Charles is truly a wonderful artist and we are delighted that he asked us to be models. We both feel very honoured to know that the paintings are on sale in a public gallery. This is a totally new experience for us and we are very excited."

The show will be at the Art Gallery, Spencer House, 34 Long Street, Tetbury from April 3 - 30. The work can also be viewed online at www.artgallery.co.uk
