POLICE decisions to close four Cotswold police stations have been commended by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC)
The HMIC said Gloucestershire Police had demonstrated a "clear commitment and understanding to tackle the financial challenge ahead of them".
Police stations in Tetbury, Fairford, Moreton-in-Marsh and Bourton-on-the-Water will close to save the force £18million over four years.
The HMIC also praised the force for keeping local communities well informed.
