A MAN has been charged with causing death by careless driving after an elderly Ashton Keynes woman died in a crash near Cirencester.
Stuart James Hawkins, 23, of Alanbrooke Crescent in Swindon has been charged with the offence following a collision near Siddington in Cirencester on Sunday April 17 in which an 89-year-old woman suffered fatal injuries.
Daphne Wilson, from The Derry in Ashton Keynes, was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon after the collision, where she died a short while later.
Hawkins was also charged with possession of cannabis.
He has been bailed to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court on August 25.
