LOCAL RIDERS have taken two of the four places in the British Dressage squad which bids for the European Championships in Broholm, Denmark on July 20-24.
Cirencester-based Pippa Hutton, the 17-year-old daughter of top trainer and rider Pammy, earns her first international call-up partnering Duela, a nine-year-old chestnut mare owned by Phillip Woof.
Olivia Oakeley, 18, who has recently relocated to a new dressage yard in Ashton Keynes, run by Gemma Green, has been selected along with her mount, the ten-year-old chestnut gelding Donna Summer which she owns.
Olivia will be hoping to use the experience learned as part of last year’s squad.
Samantha Thurman-Baker (Spring Pascal) and Emma Corbett (Furst Diamantino) complete the all-girl junior team.
There will be a compulsory pre-European Team Camp for squad members and reserves on July 5-7 at High Meadows in West Sussex.
