ARE these footprints more evidence that big cats may roam the Cotswolds?

Jodie Clucas had just dropped her daughter off at her nursery in Tetbury Upton and was about to start her car when something caught her eye in a field.

"It was about 300 yards way and ran from a small mound of trees across the field and out of my line of sight," said Jodie.

"I told my work colleague what I had seen and they all got very excited and at lunch time asked if I would show them where I had seen it."

When they returned to the spot they were amazed to find these unusual footprints (pictured) where she had seen the animal.

Cotswolds big cat expert Frank Tunbridge was unable to confirm that the prints belonged to a big cat - distinct from a dog's paw print because cats have retractable claws.

"It is an usual print and possible that it might belong to a big cat but I can not be sure due to the deepness of snow around the print," said Frank.
