Memorial rose for murdered Tetbury woman launched at Chelsea Flower Show

A SPECIAL rose created in the memory of a Cotswold woman was launched at last week’s Chelsea Flower Show.

Claire Marshall, who used to live in Tetbury, was stabbed to death by ex-boyfriend Benjamin Cooper in their Cumbria home in January last year.

In February Cooper was jailed indefinitely for the killing.

The rose was created in memory of Ms Marshall for her family by Hertfordshire-based specialist rose breeders R Harkness and Co Ltd.

Managing director Philip Harkness said: "It was chosen by her family for its vibrant colour and outstanding scent.

"The fragrance will evoke summer idylls as it hangs in the evening air, and assure 'Claire Marshall' popularity for vase arrangement."

R. Harkness & Co Ltd will donate a minimum of 80p from each sale of Claire Marshall to Breast Cancer Care.
