SOME of the best-known and most respected rock 'n' roll and country musicians in the UK have come together to form Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes, who perform at Swindon Arts Centre on Wednesday, May 17, from 8pm.
Albert Lee is a Grammy Award-winning musician who tours not only with his own band, but with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings.
He has recorded with Glen Campbell, Dolly Parton, Joan Armatrading, Joe Cocker, Willie Nelson and Linda Rondstadt among many others.
He toured extensively with The Everly Brothers and was voted Best Country Guitar Picker by Guitar Player magazine.
Steel guitar player Gerry Hogan (Country Fever, Head Hands & Feet, Matchbox), bassist Brian Hodgson (Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, George Harrison), Pete Wingfield on keyboards (Keef Hartley Band, Colin Blunstone, Maggie Bell, Van Morrison) and drummer Peter Baron (Elkie Brooks Band, Night, Renaissance) complete the line-up.
