Welcome

Call me a big kid, but I get very excited around this time of year.

Perhaps it's the anticipation of the fireworks parties around November 5th - and Cirencester's annual shindig is among the best I've ever been to. Or perhaps it's Advent Market, Cirencester's biggest community event, which just keeps getting bigger and better!

Of course, I'm looking forward to the Christmas party season. It's all about scrubbing up and dressing up and we've got tips for men and women on how to do just that in our fashion and beauty section.

One of the things I'm really looking forward to is our search for a Face of Cotswold Essence.

In case you missed the publicity in the Standard, we've launched a contest to find our cover star for issue six, out in February 2006.

That's right; one young Cotswolder will grace the cover of the next issue of Essence. It could be the start of a career in modeling - now that really is something to get excited about!
