THE Phoenix Players present the first production of their 47th season with When we are Married by J B Priestley.
Three couples, married in the same place on the same day, meet to celebrate their 25th anniversaries.
But their celebrations, reputations and genteel existences are threatened by unwelcome news that puts their marital status in jeopardy ... Can it be true and can the tipsy charwoman be trusted to keep it to herself when she gets to the "Hare and Hounds?"
In this famous and much-loved classic Northern comedy of manners J B Priestley, the author of, An Inspector Calls and Dangerous Corner turns his hand to comedy.
The Phoenix Players are delighted to have secured the talents of Gill Pegg to direct this play and also to welcome to this large cast play several new, experienced members plus the up-and-coming talent of Apryl Parker who plays the much-put-upon maid, Ruby.
