HOW do you fancy the chance of finding true love and raising money at the same time?

One Cirencester woman has come up with the perfect way of doing both with a special event which is taking place at the Golden Cross, in Black Jack Street on Thursday, September 29.

Caroline Payne is holding a skittles night to raise money for Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) and is looking for people aged between 40 and 55 to come and take part.

Caroline explained why she had decided to organise the skittle dating night.

She said: "I think it was Mother Teresa who said the biggest disease in the world is loneliness.

"I have moments where I realise I am alone but it's human nature that we should have a mate. I've been a single parent for 17 years and I have had relationships in that time but as you get older it's harder to find someone.

"It's all about trying to find different ways of meeting people."

Caroline says the event will be very informal, and with the skittles as a focus she is hoping those attending won't find it too nerve-racking.

The aim of the event is to have fun, meet people and raise money for Caroline's cycle ride through Kenya next year.

Admission is just £10 on the night and you could meet the man or woman of your dreams. Interest in the skittle dating is growing but Caroline is hoping for a huge crowd. If you are interested in attending email her at luline2005@yahoo.com
