ACTOR and writer Mansel David brings his one man show Crummles to Brewery Arts Theatre, Cirencester on Saturday, December 21 at 7.30pm.

The audience can prepare to be transported into the true spirit of Dickens this Christmas with this faithful and humorous re-enactment of the Theatrical Episodes from The Life and Times of Nicholas Nickleby, when Nicholas makes the acquaintance of Mr Vincent Crummles and the Crummles Touring Theatre Company.

Mansel David portrays a dozen major characters as well as several minor ones, as the audience follows the adventures and misadventures of Nicholas Nickleby on stage of the Portsmouth Theatre Royal.

Having trained at the Bristol Old Vic in the 1970s, David Mansel has enjoyed a varied career on both stage and television, working opposite such people as Ronnie Barker, Marti Caine, Paul Eddington, Nigel Hawthorne, Bill Fraser, Alfred Marks, Leslie Phillips, June Whitfield and many more.

Crummles has already enjoyed success in the USA Germany and Canada.
